Construction Before & After in Riverside, CA
Photos tell the truth faster than any proposal ever could. Around Riverside, we see the same houses come up again and again: kitchen layouts from the 1970s, additions that never got permitted, decks that have given up. The before-and-after sets below are representative of the jobs Bradford Remodeling Co takes on. Same neighborhoods, same housing stock, same problems. What changes is the work.

Kitchen Gut Remodel in Canyon Crest
Before
AfterThe problem: a 1978 kitchen with a dropped soffit over the cabinets, a peninsula that cut the room in half, and particleboard boxes that had started to swell from decades of Riverside heat and humidity cycling. The homeowner hadn’t updated anything since buying the place in 1996.
What we did: pulled the soffit out and ran the cabinets to the ceiling, which bought 18 inches of visual height. Swapped the peninsula for an island with a Kohler undermount sink and Moen fixtures. New KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria quartz, and a properly vented hood that actually exhausts outside. The rough-in for the sink moved six feet, which meant opening the slab, moving supply lines, and having the inspector sign off before we poured back.
The result: a kitchen that works the way kitchens are supposed to. The homeowner can stand at the sink and see the family room now. The written price held, the permit closed, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise is in writing in their file.
Whole-Home Refresh in the Wood Streets
Before
AfterThe problem: a 1920s Wood Streets bungalow with good bones and a tired everything. Original windows needed glaze work, the stucco had hairline cracks running like a roadmap, and the front door was original to the house and warped enough to see daylight around the frame.
What we did: full exterior repaint, James Hardie plank on the west-facing wall that takes the worst of the afternoon sun, a new Therma-Tru front door with proper weather sealing, and interior paint throughout. We also fixed the drainage at the foundation so the new paint doesn’t blister in two years. The substrate on the west wall was soft in spots; we replaced the sheathing before the siding went up.
The result: a house that finally looks like the neighborhood around it. The homeowner told us their utility bill dropped the first month because the door actually seals now. No change orders, no surprises. The Garrison Standard means we don’t bury a soft-wall discovery in a supplemental invoice; it was in the written scope from the start.
Primary Bathroom Remodel in Orangecrest
Before
AfterThe problem: a 1990s primary bath with a fiberglass shower insert that had cracked at the base, a vanity with doors that no longer closed, and tile that had been installed directly over drywall in the shower surround. Water had been getting behind the wall for a while. The homeowner wanted a curbless shower so they could age in place.
What we did: demoed to the studs. Replaced the water-damaged framing, hung proper cement board, and waterproofed before any tile went up. Built the curbless shower with a properly sloped mud bed and a linear drain. New Caesarstone on the vanity, Kohler fixtures throughout, and blocking in the walls for grab bars later. Permits pulled, rough-in inspected, final signed off.
The result: a bathroom that will still be functioning when the homeowners are 80. The curbless entry means no trip hazard. And the waterproofing means no repeat of the hidden damage behind the old enclosure. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every line of this job, in writing.
Room Addition in Victoria

The problem: a three-bedroom house in Victoria with a family of five and a backyard that was doing nothing. The homeowners wanted a bonus room, but they’d heard stories about additions in Riverside going sideways with unpermitted work and mismatched exteriors.
What we did: pulled the permits before any dirt moved. Poured a proper foundation, framed a 240-square-foot addition, matched the existing roof line with GAF shingles, and blended the stucco and paint so the addition reads as original. All electrical and HVAC extended to code. The inspector signed off on the rough-in before drywall, and the final before furniture went in.
The result: a room that looks like it was always there. The permit is closed, the as-builts are in the homeowner’s records, and the written price we gave at the start is the price they paid at the end. No supplements. No arguments. Concrete doesn’t care what you budgeted; we price it right the first time.
Exterior Repair and Siding in La Sierra

The problem: a La Sierra home with original hardboard siding that was swelling and buckling. Riverside’s summer heat and occasional hard rain had done a number on it. In a few spots, the substrate behind the siding was soft to the touch.
What we did: removed the damaged siding, cut out the rotted sheathing, and replaced it before installing James Hardie plank with a proper moisture barrier. Rebuilt the corner trim, reflashed all the window and door openings, and repainted the entire exterior so the new siding didn’t stand out from the old. Documented the entire process so the homeowner could see exactly what was behind the walls.
The result: an exterior that will outlast the mortgage. The James Hardie manufacturer warranty on the product backs up the Bradford 365-Day Done Right Promise on the labor. If the siding does something it shouldn’t within the guarantee period, we come back and make it right. At no charge. In writing.
Deck Replacement in Mission Grove

The problem: a Mission Grove deck built in the early 2000s with the ledger board attached directly to the house with no flashing. Water had been getting behind the ledger for years. The deck was sagging, and the homeowner’s inspector flagged it during a refinance.
What we did: tore the whole thing out, including the rotted rim joist on the house side. Replaced the rotted framing, installed a proper ledger with standoff mounting and flashing, then rebuilt the deck with pressure-treated structure and composite decking. New railing that meets current Riverside code for height and baluster spacing. Permitted and inspected.
The result: a deck the homeowner doesn’t think twice about letting their kids play on. The old one was an insurance claim waiting to happen. Bradford’s written price covered the rim joist repair; it wasn’t a “while we’re in there” add-on. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to this deck just like any other project.
