Jerith Roofing: The Riverside Owner’s Guide
We stock and install Jerith-compatible roofing parts across Riverside, and most replacements run between $400 and $1,800 installed, depending on the panel or fastener system involved. Same-day or next-day service is available for most Jerith part replacements. Most Riverside homeowners discover a failed Jerith component after the first heavy rain of the season: a drip shows up on the patio ceiling, a panel lifts at the corner during a Santa Ana wind event, or a fastener works loose and starts a slow leak that finally shows itself as a water stain on the drywall.
We’re an independent Riverside contractor. We’re not affiliated with Jerith the manufacturer, but we work with Jerith-compatible components daily and know how their panel profiles, fasteners, and flashing systems go together. If you have a Jerith product and a failed part, this page will tell you what failed, what it costs to fix, and whether you should pick up a screwdriver or pick up the phone.
Which Jerith Models This Applies To

Jerith manufactures aluminum roof panels for patio covers, carports, and walkway covers. In Riverside, the most common installations we see are the solid aluminum pan systems and the insulated multi-rib panels. The compatibility issue that trips up homeowners is this: Jerith’s older pan profiles (pre-2010 installations) run a slightly shallower rib depth than the current extruded profiles, and the two do not interchange. You cannot drop a new panel into an old frame and expect the seams to seat correctly. We’ve seen DIY replacements where the new panel sits proud by an eighth of an inch, and the first wind-driven rain pushes water right under the lap joint.
To identify your panel type, look at the underside of the roof sheet. Older pans have a flat center with angled edges; newer multi-rib panels show a repeating trapezoidal profile. The fastest route: measure the overall width of one panel and the height of the rib. Write those two numbers down and give us a call. We’ll match the part before we roll a truck.
On the OEM-versus-aftermarket question: Jerith OEM parts carry the manufacturer’s mill finish guarantee, but lead times can stretch to three or four weeks. We keep quality aftermarket equivalents in stock for the common Riverside profiles, which keeps the job on schedule. If your cover is under an active Jerith warranty, we’ll confirm that with you before ordering.

Signs Your Jerith Roofing Is Failing
- Water staining at the panel lap joint. This is the classic Jerith failure in Riverside. The factory-applied sealant between panels breaks down after 8 to 12 years of Inland Empire sun. The fix is panel removal, cleaning, and re-bedding the lap with a UV-stable sealant. Caulking over the top never lasts.
- A lifted panel corner you can see from the ground. The aluminum expands and contracts with Riverside’s 40-degree daily temperature swings, and the original fasteners eventually wallow out their holes. If you can see daylight under a corner, the fasteners have already lost their bite and water is getting under the panel.
- Rust streaks running from a fastener head. Fasteners on older Jerith systems were zinc-coated steel, not stainless. Once the coating fails, the fastener rusts and the rust streaks the panel. Worse, the corroded fastener grips the panel and you have to drill it out to remove the sheet.
- Bowing or sagging between supports. Riverside sees occasional heavy downpours, and if your drainage is compromised, water pools and adds dead weight the panel wasn’t designed to carry. A sagging panel means the supporting structure needs inspection, not just the sheet.
- Dripping from a beam or post connection. Water follows the slope and exits at the lowest point, which is usually where the roof meets a post. If you see drip marks at a post, the leak may be twenty feet upslope. We trace the panel run before touching a tool.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Riverside, a Jerith-compatible panel replacement typically lands between $400 and $1,800 depending on how many panels failed, whether we’re re-bedding lap joints or replacing full sheets, and whether the underlying frame needs fastener repair. A single-panel swap on a standard patio cover usually sits at the low end. A multi-panel replacement with fastener updates and new flashing runs higher.
The price includes the panel, fasteners, sealant, labor, and haul-away of the old material. It does not include structural repair to the support frame if water damage has compromised the wood or steel, but we’ll flag that in writing before we start.
And like every job we do at Bradford Remodeling Co Riverside, the number you approve before we start is the number on the invoice at the end. Any warranty on parts and workmanship is written into the quote and into the final walk-through. Curtis Lane makes sure of that.
DIY or Call Us?
What you can safely do: inspect from a ladder, photograph the failed area, and check whether adjacent panels show the same wear. Measuring a panel width and rib height is straightforward. What goes wrong with DIY: aluminum panels hold tension when under stress, and a panel that springs loose during removal can cut worse than a knife edge. Re-bedding lap joints correctly requires getting the old sealant fully off the aluminum, which means chemical stripping or careful mechanical scraping. A half-cleaned lap joint will leak again within one Riverside rain season.
If the panel is accessible and the damage is clearly one failed sheet, a careful homeowner can do this with two people and the right tools. If water has been running into the support structure, or you’re unsure which panel profile you have, call us at (424) 567-8472. We’d rather talk you out of a bad repair than clean up after one.
FAQs

Expect 20 to 30 years from the aluminum itself, but Riverside’s UV exposure and the Inland Empire heat cycle take the factory lap sealant faster, usually failing at 8 to 12 years. The panel typically outlasts the sealant job, so your first repair isn’t a full replacement, it’s a re-bedding. Call us at (424) 567-8472 and we’ll tell you whether your panels need replacement or just a new sealant line.
Yes, if the damage is isolated to a lap joint, a fastener hole, or a single cracked corner. A full-width panel with fatigue cracking across the body typically should be replaced. We’ll give you an honest call on which one applies to your roof before we quote anything.
Most single-panel replacements take two to four hours on site. A full re-bed of multiple panel laps with fastener updates can run a full day. We’ll give you a written timeframe in the quote so you know exactly what to expect at the door.
We keep aftermarket panels and fasteners in stock for the common Riverside Jerith profiles. If your panel is an older or less common extrusion, we’ll order the specific match and give you an honest lead time. We don’t install a close-enough panel and hope it seats. The number we quote includes the right part, not whatever’s on the truck.
